About Us > Principals > Ralph Hales

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from the University of Adelaide, Ralph has specialised in design and project management of irrigation systems. He is a Certified Irrigation Designer (agricultural drip/micro) and a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor.

He has hands-on experience in several locations in Australia and overseas, in a diverse range of pumping and irrigation systems for urban, industrial and rural applications. He has also represented contractors who supply and install irrigation systems, consultants who specialise in water management plans and soil survey, and suppliers who manufacture pumps and filtration equipment.

As Principal Consultant of HydroPlan's Brisbane office, Ralph is utilising his wealth of skills and experience to deliver design and project management services to private and public water users, and to their engineers and landscape architects. Since joining HydroPlan in 2006, over one hundred projects have benefited from his knowledge. His knowledge of soils and agronomy has been applied to turf & landscape projects, and his knowledge of equipment has been applied to water recycling and water harvesting systems.
