The thirty year old electro-mechanical control system was replaced with a modern satellite system.

Electric hydraulic converters were used so new satellites could control existing hydraulic valves and sprinklers.

The existing 240 volt cabling was retained and communication between the central and satellites was achieved with radio.

The Willunga Basin Pipeline is a large reclaimed water scheme which is owned and operated by its water users.
