Brisbane Cricket Ground Trust

Brisbane Cricket Ground Trust required a design for their new irrigation system for the GABBA.

As with many large stadiums, shading is a big issue because of the increasing amount of spectator seating.

Uneven wear caused by specific sports and other events also makes irrigation management difficult.

Therefore, it was critical to have individual head control to allow total flexibility so a design was provided that allowed sprinklers to be programmed individually or operate in groups as needed.

The system included remote control capability from the curator's laptop computer and a soil monitoring system.

Recently HydroPlan was involved in a stormwater harvesting and drainage recapturing project.
