A new irrigation system was required for a 230 Hectare vineyard near Bordertown, South Australia. A dual system (frost control and drip irrigation) for the Chardonnay variety was required, with drip irrigation installed on the other varieties.

The HydroPlan re-design of 'trade' design resulted in a 30% capital saving. Nine bores were developed with automatic start/stop functions as well as a soil moisture monitoring system which also controlled irrigation and protected against frost.

Chemical amendment rig allows blends of N, P, K, acid and chlorine. Installation was supervised by HydroPlan.
